AVAILABLE IMAGE AREA

• Width of bag minus 1", Length of bag minus 1" (minus 4" if bag has a doorknob hole)
• Width of bag minus 1", on front and back, Length of bag minus 1.75" on front of bag if SBCO is adding the recycle emblem and suffocation warning; Width and Length of bag minus 1" on back of bag if no recycle emblem or suffocation warning

COPY SPECIFICATIONS

• TEXT - Minimum of 8 pt for positive text, Minimum of 10 pt for reverse text
• TEXT - All fonts must be converted to OUTLINE
• LINE & FREE POINTS - Minimum of 1 point rule weight for positive or Minimum of 2 point for reverse
• COLOR TO COLOR TRAP - Minimum of 1/32", preferably with a black trap line of 1/16" or Greater to trap opposing colors

PRESS CAPABILITIES

• Up to 8 colors on 2 sides
• Must allow for a registration variance of 1/32" total between colors
• Screening should be no finer than 65 line screen when printing with solids or line text
• Screen should be no finer than 110 line screen on any process print project

STANDARD PLATE CHARGES

• $300.00 per color/per side (line print) - depending upon size of bag
• $500.00 - $1000.00 per color/per side (process print) - depending upon size of bag
• If screens are separated from line work an additional set-up charge & plate charge will apply
• For a more accurate plate estimate, please submit artwork.
  
  
MINIMUM QUANTITY AND LEAD TIMES
• 26M - Minimum order on printed bags
• 250 lbs. On plain bags
• 20% Over of Under run quantity allowance for orders under 100m
• 10% Over or Under run quantity allowance for orders of 100m or more
• If screens are separated from line work an additional set-up charge & plate charge will apply
• Consult rep for possibility of shorter lead times

STANDARD ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

• If Suffocation warning is desired, it must be included in the artwork and must be within the image area
• Right reading negative, emulsion side up, density of 4.0 or greater
• Pre-separated negatives required for multiple colors
• Color to color trap must be within above referenced specs

ELECTRONICALLY GENERATED ART

• Must be separated with 1220 dpi or greater quality (Laser printed art okay if similar quality)
• Scanned-in images for line work are acceptable if 400 dpi or greater, ask for original RGB files, not files already converted to YMCK

ART ON DISK (Charge for downloading as quoted)

• Font must be included on disk **Scanned in art is not acceptable**
• Must include mechanical color proof with scale indicated
• Art must be on Vector image software (Quark, Illustrator or Free Hand) ZIP preferred

HALF TONE SCREEN SPECIFICATIONS

• If screening is used, screen line ruling should be 65 lines per inch on line or spot printing, with a tonal range of 10 - 75%
• If screening is used, screen line ruling should be 110 lines per inch on process printing,
• minimum resolution of 220 ppi with 300 ppi most desirable
• Micro dots will print on image
• Plate maker will generate film from customer art, trapping & tonal ranges will be set to Flexo standards.
